The side slip tester is not upset by persons walking over it or by vehicles manoeuvring around in the workshop and accidentally driving over the platform. The tester has a drive in and drive out sensor. Both need to be applied with in a certain time limit and in the correct direction for the test to register. Driving over the platform for example triggering only the entrance sensor will create a 'time out' readying the tester for a real test.
The tester is bi-directional, in the software you can select that a measurement will only be recorded if driving in a 'normal' direction or only in the opposite direction.
This feature is ideal for drive through testing stations, where sometimes for weather reasons the entrance of the testlane is preferred on the opposite side of the building.
