4) VTEQ brake tester
The third platform that the vehicle will drive into with both wheels is the brake tester (C).
The screen on the cabinet will prompt the person in the vehicle to move onto the brake tester after the suspension test has finished.
The brake tester is a set of driven rollers which measures the maximum brake force the vehicle's brake system can generate.
The electronics of the tester can calculate the brake's efficiency, ultimately resulting in a reading which is representative of stopping distance as required by NZ law.
