    3.2) RPM pickup with trigger clamp

    Firstly you need to check if the the pick up lead is connected to the tester's (DiLink 480) designated port.

    Connect the inductive pick up to the engine,it can be connected to an ignition HT lead, or to a coil primary wire while the small earth clamp is connected to ground.

    All you have to do is identify the type of coil and amount of pulses (sparks) it produces per engine revolution.
    You will be able to see the RPM in the screen when the engine is running for confirmation.
