    01) Periodic Emission Inspection

    1) Periodic Emission Inspection

Vehicles do wear. Even the most sufisticated modern engine with all the possible electronic aids is affected by wear and tear.
Over a period of time the emissions of all vehicles are affected by the wear and tear. The only way to keep this in check is by performing regular emission inspections on all vehicles, Diesel and petrol powered vehicles.

With AECS and the Equipment of AVL DiTest you do have the perfect combination of technical back up and inspection equipment at your finger tips.
The equipment has the VERY LATEST technology that you can get standard build in. This state of the art emission tester is build by the worlds largest (privately owned) automotive power train research and development company AVL. The level of automotive technical experience and expertise present in the global AVL company are unparaleled anywhere in the world.

    The inspection process is simple!

In the following chapters we try to guide you through the actual periodical testing and preparation procedure, so you can get a bit of a feel for it. So that it's easier to imagine what you can do with the equipment.

With the Dix unit all you have to do is turn on the unit, and leave it on all day. It will automatically carry out its warm up and calibration procedures.
To conserve power the unit it will go into an 'stand by' (economy) mode after a set period of time of non use. The emission tester will switch off the high curent components, but remains stabilised and ready for use.
