Description:

The AVL DICOM 4000 in its most elaborate form (as a stand alone unit) can:
• measure petrol emissions (4 / 5 gas) with very high accuracy.
• Measure emission opacity levels (legal testing Diesel engines).
• Communicate with the ECU via the OBD-2 and E-OBD protocol.
• Measure RPM on petrol and Diesel engines with simple pick-up.
• Perform diagnostics on Petrol engines (combine graphing of for example the oxy. sensor with emissions) with repair advice.
• Perform diagnostics on Diesel engines (graphing of RPM against opacity) with repair advice.
• Draw Diesel injection timing curve via timing pick up or timing light and Piezzo pick-up.
• Check ignition timing on petrol engines.
• Measure oil temperature (for legal testing and diagnostics).
• Print graph's and test reports with the ability to enter customer data.
• Update non expiring software via PCMCIA memory card.
• Be connected to the ASA network, or other network systems via RS 232.

The 4000 has many OEM approvals and is used world wide in many franchise networks.
