Diagnostician's note:

The AVL 8000 scan tool has a beautifull data-log function. In recording mode it will record as many 'life data' parameters as wanted. in play back you can move a 'ruler' over the recorded life data traces (almost like slow scope patterns for every data string) seeing instantly all values at that given moment.
The relation between all signals in a time frame can be analised, e.g. is the narrower injection pulse width a result of the oxygen sensor or a fluctuation of the airmass or temperature sensor.
